Shipping Policy
1. Delivery Areas
CampusShelf currently offers specialized delivery services within:
- University of Lagos (UNILAG) Main Campus: All Hostels (Moremi, Jaja, Mariere, etc.), Faculties, and Staff Quarters.
- Immediate Environs: Akoka, Yaba, and Abule-Oja.
- Nationwide: Delivery to other locations is handled via third-party logistics partners (GIG Logistics/Red Star) and standard rates apply.
2. Delivery Timelines
- Same-Day Delivery: Orders placed before 12:00 PM (Mon-Fri) are eligible for same-day delivery within UNILAG.
- Next-Day Delivery: Orders placed after 12:00 PM will be delivered the next business day.
- Weekend Delivery: Saturday deliveries are available for orders placed on Friday. We do not deliver on Sundays.
3. Delivery Fees
Delivery fees are calculated at checkout based on your location:
- Campus Hostels: Flat rate (e.g., ₦500).
- Faculty/Department: Flat rate.
- Off-Campus (Yaba/Akoka): Distance-based rate.
4. The Delivery Process
- Dispatch: You will receive a WhatsApp/Email notification when your order is out for delivery.
- Arrival: Our runner will call you when they arrive at your selected location (e.g., Hostel Gate or Faculty Entrance). Runners are not permitted to enter hostel rooms.
- Collection: Please ensure you are available to pick up your package within 10 minutes of the runner's arrival.
5. Missed Deliveries
If our runner arrives and you are unreachable by phone or unavailable to collect your order after 10 minutes:
- The package will be returned to our dispatch hub.
- You will be required to pay a Re-delivery Fee to have it sent again.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by your unavailability.
Returns & Refunds Policy
At CampusShelf, we ensure all textbooks (New and Used) are verified before shipping. However, if something goes wrong, here is how we handle it.
1. Eligible Returns
You may return an item only under the following conditions:
- Wrong Item: You received a book different from what you ordered (e.g., you ordered CHM 101 and got PHY 101).
- Defective/Damaged: The book has major manufacturing defects (e.g., blank pages, torn cover) that were not stated in the description.
- Counterfeit: If you believe a "New" book sold to you is a pirated copy.
2. Non-Returnable Items
We do not accept returns for:
- "Change of Mind": If you dropped the course or decided you don't need the book anymore.
- Used Books: Unless the condition is significantly worse than described (e.g., described as "Clean" but arrives with water damage).
- Digital Access Codes: If the seal is broken or the code has been revealed.
3. Reporting Window
You must report any issue with your order within 24 hours of delivery. Reports made after this window will not be accepted.
4. How to Initiate a Return
- Take a clear photo of the item and the issue (e.g., the torn page).
- Send the photo and your Order ID to our WhatsApp line or email support@campus-shelf.com.
- Our team will review your claim. If approved, we will arrange a retrieval.
5. Refunds
- Method: Refunds are processed via Bank Transfer to the original payer's account.
- Timeline: Refunds are processed within 3-5 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item.
- Shipping Costs: If the return is due to our error (wrong item/defective), we will refund your delivery fee. If it is a user error, delivery fees are non-refundable.
